According to the notice, in celebration of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, observed on April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026, and the 140th anniversary of International Workers' Day, observed on May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026, the Hanoi People's Committee requests all agencies, organizations, hospitals, schools, and residents across the city to fly the national flag from April 29, 2026 through May 3, 2026.

People's Committees of wards and communes are responsible for directing, inspecting, and reminding residents in local neighborhoods to properly display the national flag. Heads of agencies and organizations are tasked with directing the flying of the national flag at all units under their management to ensure full compliance with regulations.
