Calls for night-time economy development while ensuring resource balance

The Hanoi People's Council on the morning of June 12 held discussions in five groups on draft resolutions covering economic-budgetary and socio-cultural issues. During discussions in Group 2 on socio-cultural resolutions, delegates provided extensive feedback on topics including the night-time economy, advertising management, the silver economy, low-rise urban spaces, and underground spaces — areas expected to create new growth opportunities for the capital.
Truong Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, on June 12, met with a delegation from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) led by Andres Pizarro, Director for Southeast Asia Transport.
Speaking at a working session on June 11 between Politburo member and Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang expressed support for providing Hanoi with maximum resources to achieve its growth targets and develop digital infrastructure. He said the Government would prioritize resources for growth poles, strategic regions, and localities carrying major national responsibilities in order to accelerate economic growth.
