The Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee on the morning of January 27 held a welcoming conference for Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, and a high-level delegation of the Lao PDR during their visit and working session with the city's Party organization and authorities.

The list of officials elected to the 14th-term Party Central Committee was announced on the evening of January 22.
