Hanoi steps up cooperation with Japanese localities

As part of its working visit to Japan, Hanoi's delegation, led by Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, carried out a series of activities in Osaka and Tokyo on April 26-27, focusing on expanding cooperation with Japanese local governments in innovation, science and technology, and digital transformation, while also strengthening ties with the Vietnamese intellectual and expert community in Japan.
With an overwhelming majority of votes, the 16th National Assembly has passed the revised Capital Law, granting more than 190 specific and outstanding powers to the Hanoi city government.
