The delegation offers incense honoring ancient scholars in Vietnam's history.
The activity was part of the National People's Council Conference on directions and tasks for the 2026-2031 term.
At the Thai Hoc House, the delegation, led by Politburo Member and Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien, conducted an incense-offering ceremony.
Also attending were Party Central Committee members Nguyen Thi Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, and Nguyen Huu Dong, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for Deputy Affairs.
Participants in the ceremony included Phung Thi Hong Ha, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council and Deputy Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation; leaders of central government agencies; Hanoi officials; and delegates from provinces and cities nationwide.
The delegation tours the Temple of Literature at night.
In a solemn atmosphere, delegates offered incense in tribute to revered scholars and sages who laid the foundations of learning, as well as distinguished figures who made significant contributions to education and Vietnam's long-standing tradition of academic excellence.
The ceremony expressed profound respect and gratitude toward past generations while promoting the values of honoring teachers and respecting learning, inspiring educational aspirations, and encouraging responsibility for preserving and promoting the nation's cultural and historical heritage.
Following the ceremony, delegates explored the "Temple of Literature by Night" cultural space and enjoyed a series of unique and impressive artistic performances. These diverse experiences brought visitors closer to the enduring story of scholars pursuing knowledge to cultivate character and achieve academic success.
A highlight of the program was the 3D mapping show, "Essence of Scholarly Learning," presented in the Thai Hoc courtyard. The performance vividly portrayed Vietnam's tradition of learning, respect for teachers and commitment to nurturing talent.
The delegates listen to the introduction on the stone steles carved with the names of ancient scholars.
The program not only recreated the depth of the nation's educational heritage and talent-centered philosophy but also served as a vivid example of innovation, scientific and technological application, and digital transformation in the field of cultural heritage.
Through 3D mapping technology, lighting effects, sound design and interactive digital elements, heritage was presented through the language of a new era, offering audiences emotionally engaging and educationally meaningful experiences.
The event also served as a tangible demonstration of the effective implementation of the Party’s and State’s major policies, particularly the spirit of Politburo Resolution No. 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, as well as Resolution No. 80 on the development of Vietnamese culture.
Through these efforts, Hanoi continues to affirm its determination to transform heritage into an internal driver for cultural, tourism and creative economic development, contributing to the construction of a capital city that is cultured, civilized and modern.
