At the meeting, Hanoi Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang welcomed Patrick Gerard Mc Killen, Honorary Consul of Vietnam in the Republic of Ireland and Chairman of Pacific Land Joint Stock Company. and highly appreciated his special affection for Vietnam and Hanoi.
Thang said Hanoi is entering a new stage of development with a strong focus on innovation, the application of science and technology and the development of industries with high added value. Within this development orientation, the city places particular emphasis on high-tech projects, biotechnology and green, sustainable development models capable of creating new drivers for Hanoi's future economic growth.
Recognizing the capabilities, experience and development strategy of Pacific Land Joint Stock Company, Thang noted that the city has shown strong interest in the biotechnology high-tech park project currently being developed by Pacific Land in Hanoi. He emphasized that the project carries significance beyond its investment value and aligns with Hanoi's future orientation toward high technology, innovation, and attracting high-quality resources.
The Hanoi Party Secretary stated that in the context of increasing international competition, developing modern high-tech zones capable of attracting businesses and international experts will help strengthen Hanoi's position within the region. At the same time, projects of this nature will contribute to advancing research ecosystems, innovation and technology transfer in Vietnam.
Expressing appreciation for the support and attention from Hanoi's leadership, Patrick Gerard Mc Killen said Pacific Land is actively implementing the project to ensure progress, quality standards and investment efficiency.

According to Patrick Gerard Mc Killen, the project's goal extends beyond establishing a conventional high-tech park and aims to create a biotechnology center capable of competing with similar models across Asia.
Through this approach, the project is expected to attract technology companies, research corporations and major international partners to Hanoi and Vietnam.
Patrick Gerard Mc Killen noted that Pacific Land places strong emphasis on quality throughout every stage of implementation, from planning and architectural design to construction and future operations. The project is expected not only to generate economic value but also to contribute to building the image of a modern high-tech center that could become a new symbol of Hanoi.
Patrick Gerard Mc Killen also expressed his hope that the project would continue receiving support and attention from the Hanoi government. Stating that Hanoi will soon complete site clearance work for the project, Hanoi Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang expressed hope that Pacific Land can begin construction at an early stage.
During the meeting, Thang assigned city agencies to provide maximum support for all related procedures so the project can move forward as quickly as possible. The Hanoi Party Secretary expressed confidence that the biotechnology high-tech park developed by Pacific Land would become one of the leading biotechnology centers in Vietnam and the region.
