Chairman of the Hanoi Federation of Labor Nguyen Van Thang inspects the health checking services for female workers.
The meaningful activity took place amid the vibrant atmosphere of the Workers' Month 2026, continuing to affirm the practical care and attention of the capital's trade union organization toward workers' lives and health.
Speaking at the program, Nguyen Van Thang, Chairman of the Hanoi Federation of Labor, said the Workers' Month 2026 is being implemented under the theme "Vietnamese workers: Innovation and productivity improvement."
According to Thang, this is not only a broad political campaign among workers, civil servants and laborers but also demonstrates the concern of trade unions, businesses and society for workers, the core force contributing to the development of the capital and the country.
He noted that, with the spirit of focusing strongly on grassroots levels and placing union members and workers at the center of support activities, the Hanoi Federation of Labor has recently implemented many practical programs.
Highlighted activities include launching ceremonies for Workers' Month and the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene, along with programs such as "Thank You Workers" and "Union Meals."
In addition, the city's trade union representatives have visited and provided support to workers facing difficult circumstances, workplace accidents and occupational diseases; honored “Outstanding Workers of the Capital” and exemplary individuals in studying and following the example of Ho Chi Minh; and launched emulation movements aimed at promoting creative labor and improving productivity at enterprises.
Female workers in Hanoi receive health advices from doctors of the Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital.
In particular, healthcare services for union members and workers have consistently been prioritized and broadly implemented by trade union organizations across Hanoi.
"Health is the most valuable asset for workers. It is the foundation that allows them to work, care for their families and remain committed to businesses for the long term. For female workers, reproductive health examinations and early cancer screening are especially practical and humanitarian," Thang emphasized.
From early morning, hundreds of female workers arrived to receive direct examinations, ultrasounds, reproductive health consultations and early screenings for dangerous diseases from leading obstetrics specialists at the Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital.
In addition to specialized examinations, female workers also attended health education sessions on disease prevention, occupational health protection, reproductive healthcare and received free medicine.
The atmosphere at the program was efficient yet warm and attentive. Doctors and medical staff spent considerable time carefully consulting each case, helping workers better understand their health conditions and effective prevention and care methods.
Arriving early for the health checkup, Can Thi Thom, born in 1986 and originally from Phu Cat, who currently works at Meiko Electronics Vietnam Co Ltd, expressed her happiness at participating in the program.
"The doctors examined us very carefully and thoughtfully while providing detailed consultations for workers. We are deeply moved by the attention and support from the trade union organization in creating conditions for free health examinations directly at our workplace," Thom shared.
Within the framework of the program, the Hanoi Federation of Labor also presented gifts to 30 workers facing difficult circumstances.
Each gift package included VND1 million ($38) in cash along with essential goods, helping encourage workers to overcome hardships, feel secure in their jobs and remain committed to their companies.
To organize this meaningful program, the Hanoi Federation of Labor received active coordination and support from the Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital and Meiko Electronics Vietnam Co Ltd.
The program also received sponsorship and partnership support from Hoa Linh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, Sohaco Pharmaceutical and Trading Group Joint Stock Company and the Ha Tay Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
The contributions of these organizations helped spread the spirit of sharing and improve care for workers in the capital.
Assessing the female worker healthcare program organized by the Hanoi trade union organization, Dinh Thuy Linh, Deputy Director of Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital, emphasized that in reality many female workers still remain subjective about their health or lack conditions to access specialized healthcare services due to work pressure, time constraints and costs.

Therefore, organizing free health examinations directly at industrial parks has become a meaningful activity that helps workers easily access high-quality healthcare services right at their workplaces while promptly detecting and preventing illnesses.
Through specific and practical activities such as free health examinations, reproductive health consultations and support for disadvantaged union members, the trade union organization is gradually affirming its role as a trusted support system for workers.
This is also how the Workers' Month goes beyond emulation campaigns to truly become a month of sharing, care and companionship with workers.
According to the plan, in 2026 the Hanoi Federation of Labor will continue coordinating with hospitals and healthcare centers across the city to organize free health examinations for approximately 10,000 union members and workers. In May alone, around 5,000 union members and workers received free health checkups.
