On May 21, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha inspected the construction site and worked with departments, agencies and related units on the implementation progress of the second campus project of Hanoi Heart Hospital in Xuan Dinh Ward.
The second campus project of Hanoi Heart Hospital is a key healthcare project of Hanoi aimed at implementing Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW dated September 9, 2025 issued by the Politburo on breakthrough solutions to strengthen public healthcare protection, care and improvement.
The project is expected to enhance Hanoi's and northern Vietnam's capacity for specialized cardiovascular examination and treatment, reduce pressure on the existing facility and meet the increasingly high healthcare demands of residents.
According to a report from the Hanoi Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board, the investor and contractors have recently concentrated manpower, equipment and continuous construction efforts to accelerate project progress.
To date, the foundation section has been inspected in accordance with regulations. The project also held a topping-out ceremony for Zone 1 in early April 2026, marking the substantial completion of the building's main structural framework.
Regarding finishing work, contractors have completed wall construction on all floors and are simultaneously carrying out plastering, wall painting, floor tiling, gypsum ceiling installation, waterproofing, exterior louver installation, window installation, mechanical and electrical systems, air conditioning, medical gas systems, fire prevention systems and elevators.

Supporting facilities such as transformer stations and wastewater treatment plants are also being implemented simultaneously to ensure operational requirements upon project completion.
The Project Management Board stated that units are currently focusing on completing interior architecture, air conditioning systems, clean air systems and medical gas systems in specialized areas such as diagnostic imaging departments, operating rooms and DSA rooms.
The units aim to complete all interior architecture before September 15, 2026, finish acceptance procedures in early October 2026 and officially put the hospital into operation later that month.
Regarding medical equipment, procurement and installation packages for diagnostic imaging equipment and intervention systems have already been ordered, with installation locations coordinated with the user units.
According to the plan, equipment will be delivered to the project site in August 2026 for installation, testing and handover according to schedule.
At the working session, representatives of departments, agencies, local authorities, the hospital and contractors discussed multiple issues related to construction coordination, site clearance, technical infrastructure connections, professional design reviews and equipment installation.
The units agreed to continue closely coordinating with the investor and contractors to resolve arising difficulties and ensure the project's overall schedule.
Regarding site clearance, the Project Management Board said a portion of land involving several households has not yet been fully handed over.
Recently, the board has coordinated with the Hanoi Department of Health, the Xuan Dinh Ward People's Committee, Xuan Dinh Ward Police and related units to strengthen communication efforts, mobilize residents and complete procedures according to regulations to soon finalize site clearance for project construction.
Director of the Hanoi Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board Tran Dinh Cuong speaks at the meeting.
The Project Management Board also frankly acknowledged several difficulties affecting progress, including labor market fluctuations, shortages of construction materials at certain times and impacts from the international situation on equipment supply chains.
However, the board and contractors committed to continuing maximum resource mobilization and increasing simultaneous construction activities to recover lost time and complete the project according to the city's directives.
Delivering instructions at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha emphasized that this is a key city project carrying particularly important significance in implementing central government and municipal policies and resolutions on developing high-quality healthcare systems and improving public health services.
She acknowledged the efforts made by the investor, contractors and departments during project implementation while requesting all units to continue demonstrating the highest sense of responsibility and determination to accelerate progress.
Ha instructed the investor and contractors to review progress comprehensively, clearly define each task and milestone, concentrate manpower and equipment, organize construction scientifically and divide work into multiple day-and-night construction teams to compensate for delays in remaining items.
She added that any difficulties or obstacles beyond the authority of the units should be promptly reported to the city for consideration and resolution.
Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha speaks at the meeting.
In particular, the Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee emphasized three key groups of tasks requiring priority implementation in the coming period.
Regarding professional expertise, investors and contractors must strengthen coordination among the investor, the Hanoi Department of Health and the Hanoi Heart Hospital to ensure professional requirements are fully synchronized during the construction process.
On technical matters, the hospital must proactively review the functions of every department, room, equipment system and operational process; clearly identify all technical connection points; and complete documentation and records for each area to avoid future adjustments.
For site clearance work, Ha requested units to follow proper procedures, strengthen communication and public mobilization efforts and build consensus among residents, considering this a critically important task directly affecting the project's overall progress.
Sharing the difficulties faced by the investor and contractors, Ha requested departments, agencies and related units to continue close coordination, proactively handle assigned responsibilities and remain determined to put the project into operation on schedule to meet the expectations of Hanoi residents.
