On May 18, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation, Tran Duc Thang, hosted a working session with the Pacific Construction Group of China.
Also attending the meeting were Standing Committee member of the Hanoi Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Do Anh Tuan, along with leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
Speaking at the meeting, Hanoi Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang expressed his impression of Pacific Construction Group's development history, particularly its contributions to China's growth.
He highly appreciated the corporation's participation in several key transportation infrastructure projects in Hanoi, including Tu Lien Bridge, Ngoc Hoi Bridge and the Ring Road 5 railway line.
The Hanoi Party Chief expressed confidence in the corporation's reputation and experience, affirming that the city consistently supports the company's efforts to contribute to the capital's development process and expects the projects to be completed on schedule with the highest quality standards.

Thanking the Hanoi Party Secretary for his positive remarks, Yan Jiehe, founder of Pacific Construction Group and Atlantic Construction Group and Chairman of the Zhengyan Research Institute of China, shared the corporation's practical experience in China and around the world.
He emphasized the company's desire to implement cooperative projects in Vietnam in general and in Hanoi in particular.
Representatives of Pacific Construction Group expressed hope that cooperation projects in Hanoi would soon be completed and put into operation, thereby contributing effectively to the goal of double-digit economic growth while improving infrastructure, enhancing the environment in the capital, and raising residents' quality of life.
Expressing appreciation for the enthusiastic and effective support provided by Hanoi's authorities in recent years, Yan Jiehe also emphasized the company's desire to maintain long-term cooperation with Vietnamese partners in general and Hanoi in particular.
He affirmed that Pacific Construction Group is willing to share experience, learn from partners for mutual development and that the Zhengyan Research Institute stands ready to support Hanoi in planning and design according to the city's needs.
Regarding the issues raised by representatives of Pacific Construction Group, Hanoi Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang said the city is focusing on infrastructure development, especially urban railways connected with localities, with a total planned length of about 1,200 kilometers; construction of 28 bridges spanning three major rivers; ring roads; and radial roads, with capital demand through 2035 potentially reaching hundreds of billions of US dollars.
In that context, Thang highly valued the new investment model ideas proposed by Yan Jiehe and noted that many of the proposals align with the city's development orientation.

In the immediate future, the Hanoi Party Secretary requested Pacific Construction Group to coordinate closely with partners to accelerate progress and complete key ongoing projects as soon as possible, especially Ngoc Hoi Bridge, Tu Lien Bridge and connecting roads, in order to effectively serve the 2027 APEC Summit.
At the same time, Thang instructed the city's agencies to focus on resolving difficulties and obstacles to ensure the implementation progress of these projects is not affected.
With the aim of promoting longer-term cooperation with Pacific Construction Group, Hanoi Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang proposed that both sides translate their partnership into specific programs, projects and tangible outcomes.
Regarding the idea of a new cooperation model, Thang suggested that Pacific Construction Group continue researching and applying the model to suitable projects, provided that any implementation meets requirements for quality, aesthetics, speed, transparency, openness and reasonable costs.
The Hanoi Party Secretary affirmed that the city will fully fulfill its responsibilities within its authority, ensure transparency and create the most favorable and efficient conditions possible for investors, including Pacific Construction Group, to operate successfully and achieve their expected results in the capital.
