On May 27, Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, together with Phung Thi Hong Ha, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council and Deputy Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation, inspected preparations for the National People's Council Conference on implementing directions and tasks for the 2026-2031 term.
Joining the delegation were Nguyen Huu Dong, Member of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for Deputy Affairs; Tran The Cuong, Member of the Hanoi Party Committee's Standing Board and Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council; Pham Thi Thanh Mai, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council; and Tran Thanh Ha, Deputy Head of the full-time Hanoi National Assembly Delegation.
The inspection team also included representatives from departments and agencies under the National Assembly Office, as well as leaders from Hanoi's municipal departments and agencies.
After reviewing facilities, event decorations and security arrangements for the conference, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh highly praised Hanoi's preparation efforts, noting that the city had completed every aspect thoroughly and comprehensively, even exceeding the requirements of the organizing committee.

She said the event venue had been decorated appropriately, solemnly and economically, while delegate reception and other organizational tasks had also been carefully prepared.
The vice chairwoman noted that although Hanoi has recently undertaken many important assignments entrusted by the National Assembly, the city still completed preparations ahead of schedule.
On behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Thanh expressed sincere appreciation to the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, the Hanoi People's Council, the Hanoi People's Committee and all personnel directly involved in serving the conference.
According to the vice chairwoman, the National People's Council Conference, scheduled to take place in Hanoi on May 28, carries significant importance and provides an opportunity for localities nationwide to gather in the capital.
As part of the conference program, delegates will experience distinctive nighttime cultural and tourism activities utilizing modern technology at the Temple of Literature complex.
She described this as vivid evidence of Hanoi's leadership in implementing Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, while also leveraging these advantages to promote double-digit growth in the culture and tourism sectors.

The Vice Chairwoman expressed confidence that with Hanoi's comprehensive and proactive preparation, the National People's Council Conference would be successful and leave a lasting impression on participants.
Speaking during the inspection, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha expressed pride that Hanoi had been entrusted by the National Assembly Standing Committee to co-organize the first conference of the new term.
Ha stated that, as of now, all major tasks serving the conference had been completed on schedule.
Decorations have been arranged harmoniously and appropriately for the hot weather while strictly adhering to the spirit of thrift and efficiency in accordance with directives from the Secretariat. In particular, Hanoi has given the highest priority to security and safety measures.
At the same time, plans for welcoming delegations and directing traffic around the conference venue and off-site activity locations have been carefully organized by traffic police to ensure smooth circulation and absolute safety.
With comprehensive preparation, Hanoi affirmed that it is fully ready to provide the best possible conditions and work closely with the National Assembly Office to organize a successful conference that will leave a strong impression on attending delegates.
