On March 30, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha chaired a meeting, held both in person and online, with leaders of departments, agencies and communes and wards on disease prevention and control across the city.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan has signed and issued Plan No. 127/KH-UBND dated March 30, 2026, on implementing Decision No. 2244/QD-TTg dated October 13, 2025, issued by the Prime Minister, which establishes a set of criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in socio-economic development in Hanoi.

On March 28, the 17th Hanoi People's Council for the 2026–2031 term convened its first session to consider and decide on personnel matters and other issues within its authority.

The draft revised Capital Law is expected not only to remove bottlenecks in urban management and development but also to create a legal foundation for Hanoi to pilot new mechanisms and policies, take the lead in modern urban governance, digital transformation, science and technology development and attract high-quality human resources.

On March 27, in his closing remarks, Hanoi Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Ngoc stated that after a period of serious, responsible, democratic and candid discussions, the 5th conference of the Hanoi Party Committee has completed all agenda items.
