Ethnic residents of Ba Vi Commune attend the election law awareness conference.
At the conference, participants were briefed by lawyer Le Van Khanh, from the Hanoi Bar Association, on key legal provisions related to the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and members of People’s Councils at all levels, including new points in the upcoming election.

Bui Duy Quang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, said that in recent years, the Hanoi Party Committee, the Hanoi People’s Council, and the Hanoi People’s Committee have issued various mechanisms and policies aimed at promoting comprehensive socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of the capital.
One of the areas receiving special attention from the city is legal communication and education, which aims to improve legal awareness and compliance among ethnic minority communities in Hanoi.
A representative of the Hanoi Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs noted that the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and members of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term will take place in just a few days.
This election is an opportunity for each voter to exercise their democratic rights, demonstrate civic responsibility, and express their trust in the development of the nation and their local community.
“In previous elections, ethnic minority and mountainous communities of the capital have consistently demonstrated solidarity and responsibility by actively participating in the voting process, contributing significantly to the overall success of Hanoi’s elections,” Quang emphasized.
Building on that tradition, the representative of the department expressed confidence that residents of Ba Vi Commune will continue to uphold respect for the law and participate fully and properly in the upcoming election, helping ensure that the vote is conducted in a democratic, safe, and lawful manner.
The Hanoi Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs is scheduled to hold additional election law awareness conferences for ethnic minority communities in Yen Bai, My Duc, and Yen Xuan communes on March 11, 12, and 13.
Earlier, on March 5 and 6, the department successfully organized two similar conferences in Ba Vi and Suoi Hai communes.
