Attending the event were members of the Hanoi Party Committee's Standing Board: Chairwoman of the Hanoi VFF Committee Bui Huyen Mai and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan. Leaders of departments and agencies, along with 110 distinguished intellectuals, scholars, artists, religious dignitaries, representatives of ethnic minority communities, and overseas Vietnamese from the capital, were also present.

Delegates during the meeting.
Speaking at the gathering, Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Head of its Hanoi chapter, who also serves as a non-specialized Vice Chairman of the Hanoi VFF Committee, highlighted the spirit of solidarity within the great national unity bloc. He emphasized the shared determination to contribute to building a more prosperous and civilized capital and country.
Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Nhan, Rector of the Da Nang International Institute of Technology and a Vietnamese expatriate in France, expressed hope that the Hanoi VFF would establish a forum for science enthusiasts to share knowledge with the community. Such a platform, he said, would help citizens better understand science and technology, enabling more practical and effective contributions to society.
Representing the capital's business community in handicrafts and traditional craft villages, Ha Thi Vinh, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Handicraft and Craft Village Association, thanked city authorities for their close support. She noted that Bat Trang pottery village has contributed to implementing the Capital Law and the city's industrial development policies, notably through the Bat Trang Ancient Village Ecological Museum — a model that has proven effective.
Extending New Year greetings to participants, Chairwoman of the Hanoi VFF Committee Bui Huyen Mai affirmed that in 2025, Hanoi achieved many important results across sectors.

Overview of the meeting.
She noted that at all levels, the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hanoi effectively fulfilled its role in consolidating the great national unity bloc, promoting patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, caring for the poor, and listening to the opinions and aspirations of the people. The Front also actively carried out supervision and social criticism programs, contributed to anti-corruption and thrift practices, and provided feedback in Party and government building efforts — helping strengthen public trust in the Party and authorities at all levels.
These achievements, she said, were made possible thanks to the significant contributions of intellectuals, artists, religious dignitaries, ethnic minority representatives and overseas Vietnamese from Hanoi, both at home and abroad. With their intellect, prestige, responsibility and love for the capital, they have continuously accompanied, advised and spread positive values within the community.
Entering 2026, the Hanoi VFF Committee will continue to strongly innovate its content and methods of operation, taking solidarity, consensus, public trust and happiness as its foundation. Key priorities include enhancing communication and mobilization efforts in the digital era, promoting digital transformation through the "Digital Front of the Capital" application, strengthening public opinion monitoring, and further consolidating the great national unity bloc — with special attention to the role of intellectuals, artists, religious communities, ethnic minorities and overseas Vietnamese.

Overview of the meeting.
The Hanoi VFF will also improve the quality of supervision and social criticism and responsibly participate in preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, while better representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
The Committee expressed its hope to continue receiving the support, companionship and intellectual contributions of distinguished delegates, who serve as important bridges between the Party, authorities and the people, as well as between the capital, international friends and overseas Vietnamese communities.
On this occasion, city VFF leaders presented New Year gifts and extended their best wishes to attendees.
At the gathering, the Association of Vietnamese in the Netherlands donated VND20 million (US$800) to the Fund for the Poor and Social Welfare 2026. The donation was received by Chairwoman Bui Huyen Mai from Ngo Thi Bich Ngoc, Chairwoman of the Vietnamese Association in the Netherlands.
