The event marked a new development in cooperation between two leading tourism enterprises from the country’s two major economic centers. It also concretized the cooperation program between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for the 2026–2030 period, agreed at the conference on experience exchange and cooperation between the Standing Committees of the Party Committees of the two cities on March 6, 2026.
The cooperation is expected to create new momentum, improve product quality, enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam as a destination, and promote tourism development in a professional, modern, and sustainable direction.
It also serves as a practical step to implement Politburo Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW dated January 6, 2026, on developing the state economic sector and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026, on developing Vietnamese culture.

According to the agreement, the two sides will coordinate to leverage their strengths in tourism, from product development to human resource training.
Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate to leverage their strengths in tourism to develop products and services aligned with market trends; establish cooperation mechanisms to develop new products; combine services from both sides; organize tourism promotion activities domestically and internationally; and share experience in management, operations, and market development.
In addition, the two sides will strengthen cooperation in tourism human resource training through training programs, professional development courses, and practical experience exchange to improve service quality. They will also implement internal incentive programs, prioritize the use of each other’s services, and coordinate research and proposals for tourism cooperation programs aligned with each side’s development strategy.
At the signing ceremony, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Members’ Council of Hanoitourist Corporation Nguyen Van Dung said that in the context of strong growth in Vietnam’s tourism sector and its increasing role as a key economic sector moving toward sustainable development, strengthening cooperation among major state-owned enterprises is particularly important.
The cooperation between the two corporations is not only about resource connection but also strategic vision alignment, contributing to improving product and service quality and enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam’s tourism industry in the new period.
According to Chairwoman of Saigontourist Group Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, the cooperation is not only a connection between two enterprises but also strategic in forming a North–South tourism linkage connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
She said that through this cooperation, both sides aim to maximize strengths, resources, and service ecosystems; jointly develop in-depth tourism products; improve service quality; promote digital transformation and innovation; and move toward sustainable tourism development in the 2026–2030 period.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong affirmed that Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are the two leading tourism hubs of the country. The cooperation between the two major enterprises will open strategic cooperation opportunities, not only promoting tourism development in the two cities but also creating momentum for the overall development of Vietnam’s tourism industry.
In recent years, Vietnam’s tourism sector has continued to affirm its role as one of the country’s important economic sectors, with strong recovery and positive growth. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are two major tourism centers with diverse tourism products, increasingly improved infrastructure, and large visitor numbers. As a result, demand for regional tourism linkages and product development has been rising.
The cooperation agreement between Hanoitourist Corporation and Saigontourist Group demonstrates the commitment to building a strong cooperation foundation between the two leading tourism enterprises. This comprehensive cooperation will not only improve service quality for tourists but also open new development directions for regional tourism products in the coming years.
