The Prime Minister has issued Decision No.1181/QD-TTg to recognize Thuong Tin District, Hanoi, as an advanced new-style rural area in 2024.

Under the decision, the Hanoi People's Committee is tasked with announcing the recognition and presenting commendations according to regulations.

It is also required to direct the Thuong Tin District authorities to maintain and improve the quality of all criteria, with a particular focus on cultural and environmental standards to ensure long-term sustainability in rural development.

The Prime Minister assigned relevant ministries, government agencies, and members of the Central Steering Committee for the National Target Programs for 2021.2025, along with the Hanoi People's Committee and concerned individuals and organizations, to implement this decision.

According to reports, all 28 communes in Thuong Tin District have met the standard for new-style rural areas.

Among them, 17 communes, accounting for 60.7%, have achieved the advanced new-style rural status.

Thuong Tin Town has been recognized as a civilized urban center, meeting urban development criteria within the rural setting.

The district has fulfilled all nine criteria for "advanced new-style rural districts" as defined in Decision No.320/QD-TTg by the Prime Minister.
