At the meeting, Nguyen Minh Nguyet, Deputy Director of the City's Center for Communication, Data, and Digital Technology, reported that the Press Center had become a special highlight with many meaningful activities.
These included seminars, vibrant decorations, and free gifts and services for citizens and visitors, presenting the image of a civilized, friendly, and culturally rich Hanoi.

From August 19 to September 2, the entire Press Center was decorated with national flags, Party flags, posters of President Ho Chi Minh, Ba Dinh Square, and images of the parade and march, creating a solemn and sacred atmosphere.
To support citizens, tourists, and journalists covering the 80th anniversary, the Center worked with Industry and Trade Newspaper and socialized enterprises such as Number 1 Company, AVIA Joint Stock Company, and Ovaltine. Together, they prepared over 10,000 bottles of drinking water, 5,000 energy bars, 5,000 cartons of milk, 5,000 red flags with yellow stars, and many promotional items such as fans, banners, and hats.
A highly appreciated feature was the free access to public restrooms on the first floor of the Press Center from August 19 to September 5, open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and from 6:00 a.m. on September 2.

Before opening, the facilities were checked, cleaned, disinfected and stocked with tissue, soap and towels. During operating hours, staff were assigned to ensure cleanliness, guide queuing, handle incidents, and provide safety and comfort for users.
Vice Chairman Truong Viet Dung recognized the proactive efforts of the Center in initiating and implementing many meaningful activities for citizens and journalists from both central and Hanoi-based media.
He requested the Center to continue reviewing tasks according to the plan, maintain sanitation and order, and coordinate with relevant agencies to promptly handle any issues. These efforts aimed to create favorable conditions for journalists, citizens, and visitors participating in the 80th anniversary celebrations, thereby promoting the image of a civilized, friendly and culturally distinctive Hanoi to the nation and international friends.
During his visit, the Vice Chairman met with musician Nguyen Van Chung, the author of many popular songs, including "Continue the Story of Peace." The song conveyed humanistic messages, celebrating love for the homeland and aspirations for a peaceful world.
Vice Chairman Dung expressed his respect for the musician's works, noting that they had left lasting impressions with their emotion, ability to spark national pride, and evocation of love for Hanoi and the country.
He affirmed that music had strong power to touch the hearts of generations. The city valued and hoped that musicians and artists would continue creating works about Hanoi as a City for Peace, as well as songs that inspired love for the homeland and the nation.
He emphasized that this spiritual strength would help nurture the aspiration for Hanoi's and the country's development.
Musician Nguyen Van Chung expressed his gratitude and emotion at the city leadership's attention to artists. He said such recognition and encouragement were a great source of motivation for him to continue writing songs connected with the image of an elegant and historic Hanoi, while spreading human values and love for the nation.
He also affirmed his commitment to ensuring that his works would go beyond meaningful lyrics and melodies to become a bond linking generations, nurturing love and national pride in every Vietnamese heart.
