It fosters patriotism and national pride, enhancing the awareness and responsibility of all citizens in building a strong national defense.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan addresses the event.
Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of All-People's National Defense Day, the 2024 event holds special meaning as the capital and the nation have recently hosted significant milestones such as the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and the 70th anniversary of Hanoi's Liberation.
Reflecting on the key achievements in the city's socio-economic development and national defense in 2024, Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Tuan affirmed that these successes were greatly supported by the contributions of officials, party members, enterprises, and the people of Trang Tien Ward in Hoan Kiem District. On behalf of the city's leadership, he acknowledged and praised the efforts and accomplishments of the officials, armed forces, and citizens of Trang Tien Ward and Hoan Kiem District in recent times.

To maintain political stability and social order, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan urged the party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations in Hoan Kiem District and Trang Tien Ward to focus on building a clean and strong political system closely connected with the people. He called for leveraging the collective strength of national unity in constructing an all-people's national defense and educating officials, party members, and citizens about strategies for homeland protection in the new era.
There should be a close combination of socio-economic development with the consolidation of national defense and security, ensuring political stability and public order, and building a "solid people's defense posture." Administrative structures should be streamlined and effective, meeting national development goals aligned with the Party and the General Secretary's directives on the "New Era of National Development – Vietnam's Rise."
Furthermore, early detection and resolution of emerging issues at the grassroots level are essential to thwart and counter any hostile activities, preventing hotspots from arising. Strengthening national solidarity and the active role of the Fatherland Front and the public in developing defense zones is critical to ensuring resilience against threats and remaining prepared for any situation.
Efforts should also prioritize improving the material and spiritual well-being of citizens, especially policy beneficiaries and contributors, to foster public trust in the Party and the State. This will create consensus and unity in implementing Party and State policies while building a robust national defense system.

Delegates at the event.
The advisory roles of the military and police in defense and security matters for local authorities should be enhanced. Tasks related to national defense and local military operations must be executed effectively, including disaster prevention, response to emergencies, and search and rescue operations. These efforts will contribute to securing political stability, public safety, and favorable conditions for socio-economic development, ultimately creating a prosperous, civilized, and happy community.
The Chairman encouraged advancing innovation in the operations of the Fatherland Front and political organizations, mobilizing the people to actively participate in emulation movements, and striving for a more prosperous, cultured, and modern Hoan Kiem District and Hanoi Capital.
"With the achievements made so far, I am confident that the Party, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and the people of Hoan Kiem District and Trang Tien Ward will continue to achieve significant and steady progress, making important contributions to the construction and development of the capital," expressed Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Tuan.
