With a sense of responsibility and solidarity toward the country's seas and islands, each official, civil servant, public employee, and worker of the Hanoi Party Committee office contributed at least one day's salary.
According to Plan No. 56-KH/TU dated April 8, 2026, Hanoi will organize a delegation to visit and support troops and residents in the Truong Sa archipelago and personnel stationed at DK1 platforms from late April to early May 2026. The delegation will include 85 representatives from departments, agencies, localities, armed forces, businesses, and various segments of the capital's population.
At the same time, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee has approved a policy to allocate funding from the city's "For Vietnam's Seas and Islands" Fund to support the construction of a community cultural house combined with a meeting hall on Truong Sa Dong Island, with an estimated budget of VND55 billion (US$2.2 million).
This project carries significant political and social meaning, contributing to improved living, learning, and meeting conditions for troops and residents on the island. It also serves as a vivid symbol of the solidarity, responsibility, and connection of the Party organization, authorities, and people of the capital toward the nation's sacred seas and islands.

Following the direction of the Hanoi Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi has been assigned to lead the campaign, mobilizing agencies, organizations, businesses, and residents across the capital to contribute to the fund, creating resources for future programs and projects supporting Vietnam's seas and islands.
The official launch ceremony for the "For Vietnam's Seas and Islands" Fund 2026 will take place at 9:00 a.m. on April 14, 2026, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi.
The campaign not only demonstrates strong political commitment in mobilizing social resources but also helps spread a broad spirit of support for the country's seas and islands, contributing to efforts to firmly safeguard Vietnam's sovereignty.
