On April 8, the Central Party Committee's Policy and Strategy Commission held a conference to implement decisions of the Politburo and the Secretariat on personnel work.
The conference was attended by Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Commission, along with its leadership.
Hanoi representatives included Tran The Cuong, member of the Hanoi Party Committee's Standing Board and Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council, and Pham Thi Thanh Mai, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council.
At the conference, Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Head of the Central Party Committee's Organization Commission, announced the Secretariat's decision to appoint Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, former Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, former Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council for the 2021-2026 term and Deputy Head of the Hanoi National Assembly delegation for the 15th term, as Deputy Head of the Central Party Committee's Policy and Strategy Commission.
The conference also announced decisions of the Politburo assigning Tran Hong Thai, member of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and Le Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, as concurrent Deputy Heads of the Commission.

In his remarks, Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Policy and Strategy Commission, congratulated Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Tran Hong Thai and Le Van Loi on their appointments.
He emphasized that this is an important event for the Commission and reflects the attention of the Politburo and the Secretariat to strengthening organizational capacity and resources as the Commission undertakes key tasks assigned by the central leadership, especially implementing the resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.
Nghi noted that the appointed officials possess strong political qualities, research capacity and practical experience and expressed confidence that they will quickly adapt, leverage their expertise and contribute to fulfilling assigned tasks.
In his acceptance speech, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan affirmed that he fully understands and will implement the directives of the Commission's leadership.
He described the appointment as both an honor and a significant responsibility and committed to dedicating himself to the role, continuing to develop his capabilities and contributing effectively.

Tran Hong Thai, President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and concurrent Deputy Head of the Commission, expressed his commitment to contributing to the development of strategies, policies and plans in science and technology to support national industrialization and modernization.
