Delivering the keynote speech, Hanoi Youth Union Secretary Chu Hong Minh affirmed that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has gone through 94 years of glorious history, marked by continuous efforts, dedication, and growth. The journey has been challenging yet immensely honorable.

Overview of the event.

Throughout its development, the Youth Union has consistently innovated, inherited, and promoted the values and traditions of previous generations to better fulfill its functions and responsibilities. In each revolutionary period, the Youth Union has matured step by step, becoming the political nucleus of Vietnamese youth. It has organized and mobilized a strong force of young people to take on revolutionary missions, contributing to the proud legacy of Vietnam's heroic youth.

In response to the expectations of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, over the past nine decades, the Youth Union has nurtured generations of young people who are both morally upright and professionally competent.

These young individuals possess strong ethics, knowledge, health, and a dynamic mindset. They uphold the nation's proud traditions and the Party's ideals, demonstrating patriotism, a sense of responsibility in nation-building and defense, and commitment to their families and society. They strive for academic excellence, career advancement, and legal wealth creation, while also volunteering for community service and aspiring to contribute to the nation.

According to the Hanoi Youth Union Secretary, the history of the Hanoi chapter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has always inherited and promoted the revolutionary traditions of Vietnamese youth and the heroic, talented, and elegant spirit of the people of Hanoi.

These traditions have been illuminated at key historical turning points, in moments of existential crisis for the nation, through the "Oath of Independence," the resolve of "Determined to fight, determined to win," and the fervor of the "Three Readiness" movement, where young people set aside their studies to join the revolutionary struggle.

The determination to "Carve through the Truong Son Mountains to save the nation" and the fighting spirit of "Not returning to the capital until the U.S. invaders are defeated" marked the war resistance periods. In today's era of national renewal and development, these traditions live on through movements such as "Youth Volunteers," "Creative Youth," "Youth Vanguard in National Defense," and "I Love Hanoi."

Hanoi Youth Union Secretary Chu Hong Minh emphasized that, with pride in the 95-year heroic and glorious tradition of the Hanoi Party Committee, the Hanoi Youth Union reaffirms its unwavering trust in the leadership of the city's Party Committee. It continues to play its role effectively, with relentless efforts from its 106 affiliated grassroots organizations and more than 600,000 members.

Their dedication has left remarkable and comprehensive marks across all areas of work. The Hanoi Youth Union is proud to be recognized as an outstanding unit nationwide for many consecutive years in youth union activities and youth movements. It has received numerous prestigious awards from the Party, the State, the Central Youth Union, and the city of Hanoi.

As the capital and the country undergo structural reforms to streamline administrative apparatuses, the Youth Union and its officials must proactively innovate, enhance operational efficiency, and review and restructure their organization to ensure practical and effective activities that align with the needs of youth members. Youth officials need to improve their capabilities, adopt a responsible mindset, embrace new ways of thinking, and apply technology to optimize management and administration. Special attention should be given to strengthening grassroots-level youth organizations, modernizing management through digital transformation, and maximizing the role of the grassroots executive committees and standing committees. Mobilizing local strengths and expanding youth unity are essential for making the Youth Union an effective and impactful organization, in line with Resolution 18 of the Party Central Committee.

"Our country is entering a new era—one where Vietnam asserts its position and the value of its people on the global stage. We pledge to unite and stand in solidarity under the Party's leadership, harnessing our youth and channeling our aspirations into the collective national ambition. We strive to propel Hanoi and the country toward comprehensive and dynamic development, achieving breakthroughs that lay the groundwork for a prosperous and powerful Vietnam in the new era. This is the era in which our nation rises, turning strategic visions into reality and building a wealthy, strong, democratic, just, and civilized Vietnam," Hanoi Youth Union Secretary Chu Hong Minh emphasized.

At the ceremony, the Hanoi chapter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union honored 91 outstanding young Party members and ten exemplary young individuals of the capital. These honorees represent a diverse and inspiring portrait of Hanoi's young Party members and youth—those with pure hearts, bright minds, and great ambitions. They are pioneers with strong political ideals, capable leaders in the modern era, and tireless contributors to the advancement of Hanoi and the nation.
