Attending the event were Party Central Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, and 16th National Assembly deputy Nguyen Thi Tuyen; Member of the Hanoi Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan, Head of the Hanoi Committee for the Advancement of Women; female deputies of the National Assembly and the Hanoi People's Council for the 2026–2031 term.
Speaking at the program, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan congratulated the elected female deputies and emphasized that the results reflected the efforts of the political system and the growing maturity of the capital's female officials.

According to the Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, women's participation in elected bodies not only helps improve the quality of representation but also better reflects the voices and aspirations of voters, especially women. The deputies are expected to promote their courage and intellect and make practical contributions to legislative work, supervision, and decisions on important issues.

During the period when Hanoi is implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Hanoi in the new era, active participation from elected deputies is required.
Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan expressed hope that female National Assembly deputies would contribute opinions to improve the legal system, especially the revised Capital Law, in order to create special mechanisms for Hanoi to develop rapidly and sustainably. For People's Council deputies, the requirement is to actively contribute to policy implementation, strengthen supervision of law enforcement, and thereby improve the effectiveness of state management and the quality of public services.
In addition, Tuan expressed hope that in carrying out their duties and authority, female National Assembly deputies and female City People's Council deputies would spend more time listening to and promptly reflecting the opinions and aspirations of voters, especially female voters in various fields.
Female deputies are expected to perform well in supervising the implementation of laws and policies on gender equality and the advancement of women, so that Vietnamese women in general, and women in the capital in particular, have better conditions for comprehensive development and can contribute to the development goals of the capital and the country.
Tuan affirmed that the Hanoi government would create favorable conditions for deputies to fulfill their duties and expressed hope for continued cooperation in the process of building and developing the capital.
According to the report at the meeting, Hanoi has implemented solutions to increase the proportion of female candidates, meeting the requirements of Resolution No. 107/2025/UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee. After the third round of consultations, the proportion of female candidates at all levels exceeded 40 percent.
Election results showed that the city has 10 female deputies elected to the National Assembly out of a total of 32 deputies, accounting for 31.25 percent, an increase of 7.12 percent compared with the previous term. At the city level, 32 out of 125 People's Council deputies are women, accounting for 25.6 percent. At the commune level, 1,013 out of 3,160 elected People's Council deputies are women, accounting for 32.06 percent.
Speaking on behalf of the female deputies at the program, 16th National Assembly deputy Nguyen Thi Tuyen shared her pride and honor that officials who grew up and worked in Hanoi were trusted by voters and elected to the 16th National Assembly and the Hanoi People's Council for the 2026–2031 term.
According to Tuyen, thanks to the attention of leaders at all levels, the proportion of female deputies in this term has increased significantly. In Hanoi, the proportion of female deputies in the municipal People's Council and at other levels has met the set targets.
Tuyen expressed her expectation that Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo would create a foundation for the 16th National Assembly to soon consider and approve the revised Capital Law at its first session, thereby providing outstanding mechanisms and policies to promote Hanoi's comprehensive development and enhance its regional and international position.
Affirming a strong sense of responsibility, Tuyen said that female National Assembly deputies of the Hanoi delegation would actively participate, contribute, and vote on important issues. At the same time, female City People's Council deputies also committed to contributing their dedication to building an increasingly modern and civilized capital.
Earlier, delegates attended an incense offering ceremony and tree planting at the Nguyen Phi Y Lan Temple and visited the Vietnam Craft Village Essence Center.
