Nguyen Lan Huong, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, on August 2 joined officials and residents of Lang Ward in a citywide cleanup effort.

Together, they collected garbage, trimmed trees, and helped beautify the streets, promoting a greener, cleaner, and more pleasant urban landscape.

Speaking with local officials and residents, Huong emphasized the need for continued education and outreach.

She urged Lang Ward's Party Committee, local government, and Fatherland Front to encourage every household to take responsibility for their immediate surroundings, and keep homes, alleys, and public spaces clean.

Huong also called on Fatherland Front officials to continue leading the "Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful" movement in both spirit and practice, starting right from their own neighborhoods.

According to Ha Phu Binh, Vice Chairman of the Lang Ward People's Committee, a cleanup campaign opened on July 27. It has been maintaining order in urban areas, public safety, and environmental hygiene across all 53 residential groups.

The current campaign focuses on four key goals: restoring and maintaining public order along streets and alleys, ensuring sidewalks are clear, streets are clean and attractive, and traffic is safe and orderly.

In addition, the campaign strictly targets violations such as encroaching on sidewalks, illegal street vending, unlicensed advertisements, and improper waste disposal.

It aims to raise awareness among residents and strengthen the roles of neighborhood groups, civil organizations, and local authorities in enforcing urban regulations.

The campaign is also part of broader efforts to create a more civilized, clean, modern, and safe urban environment, as Hanoi prepares to celebrate major events including the first Party Congress of Lang Ward for the 2025–2030 term and national holidays.

To make the campaign both effective and sustainable, Lang Ward's Steering Committee 197 has assigned clear tasks to members, residential groups, and neighborhood clusters. They also conduct regular inspections to ensure consistent implementation.

These efforts are designed to help build a modern, orderly capital city and to spread the message of a "Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful" Hanoi, improving public health and quality of life for everyone.
