"Homeland Spring" is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with local authorities to welcome overseas Vietnamese back home to celebrate Tet. The event is broadcast live to both the domestic audience and overseas Vietnamese communities. The theme of the Homeland Spring 2025 program is "Vietnam Rising in a New Era."

The cultural and artistic exchange program will take place from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the National Convention Center, Pham Hung Street, Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi. It will be broadcast live on VTV1 and VTV4 channels of Vietnam Television.
The Hanoi People's Committee has assigned the following tasks:
Department of Foreign Affairs: Acts as the lead agency representing the city to coordinate with the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in organizing the Homeland Spring 2025 program. It will serve as the primary contact point, urging city departments to fulfill assigned tasks and compiling reports for the People's Committee. Hanoi Police Department: Responsible for traffic management, ensuring security and order, and guaranteeing traffic safety for all activities related to the Homeland Spring program in Hanoi. Firefighting units will be on standby at the National Convention Center from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM on January 19, 2025.
People's Committees of Ba Dinh and Nam Tu Liem Districts: Coordinate with the event organizers and relevant municipal departments to ensure smooth traffic, security, safety, and a clean and green environment in and around the event area. They will also support meetings between exemplary overseas Vietnamese and leaders of the Party, State, and Hanoi People's Committee on January 19, 2025.
This major event attracts a large number of overseas Vietnamese from around the world returning home to celebrate Tet. It is eagerly anticipated by the overseas Vietnamese community every spring.
