Under the decision, the Hanoi Data Steering Committee includes the following members: (1) Head of the Steering Committee: Vu Dai Thang, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee. (2) Deputy Head of the Steering Committee: Truong Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, along with members who are leaders of municipal departments, agencies and sectors.

The Steering Committee is tasked with advising and coordinating across sectors to support the Hanoi People's Committee, its Chairman, and the Head of the Steering Committee in implementing guidelines, strategies, mechanisms, policies and solutions related to data governance.

Its work covers the development of the national database system and sectoral databases across the city, as well as the integration, synchronization, storage, sharing, analysis and use of Hanoi’s data, and the resolution of major cross-sector data issues.

At the same time, it will study and propose orientations and solutions to the Hanoi People's Committee and its Chairman to address issues arising in the implementation of data-related guidelines, strategies, mechanisms, policies and related deployment plans.

This includes building and developing the national database system and sectoral databases; integrating and synchronizing data; storing and sharing data; analyzing and utilizing data; coordinating the city's data resources; and handling major cross-sector data issues.

The Steering Committee will assist the Hanoi People's Committee and its Chairman in directing city departments, agencies, and commune- and ward-level administrations to implement data-related objectives, tasks, and solutions across the city.

It will coordinate the implementation of cross-sector strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, schemes, projects, and solutions related to the building and development of the national database system and sectoral databases, as well as the integration, synchronization, storage, sharing, analysis, and use of Hanoi's data, and the handling of major cross-sector data issues.

It will also assist the Hanoi People's Committee and its Chairman in urging and inspecting the implementation of cross-sector strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, schemes, projects and solutions related to building and developing the national database system and specialized databases, as well as integrating, synchronizing, storing, sharing, analyzing, using and coordinating Hanoi's data and addressing major cross-sector data-related matters.
