On March 12, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha, who also serves as Chairwoman of the Hanoi Election Committee, inspected information and communication work supporting the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term at the Hanoi Media Group.
Joining the delegation was Tran The Cuong, member of the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council.
Reporting to the working delegation, Vu Minh Tuan, Director of the Hanoi Media Group, said that since its establishment the organization has continuously innovated, taken a pioneering role and accompanied the Party organization, government and people of the capital in implementing the Resolution of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and strategic resolutions of the central government, along with key directions and tasks assigned to the capital by the Party General Secretary.
The agency has also provided extensive coverage of major political tasks related to implementing the Resolution of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and strategic resolutions issued by the central government.

Notably, on March 15, 2026, the nationwide election day, the Hanoi Media Group will produce a special live television broadcast titled "National day of democracy – The vote of trust and aspiration for development."
The program will be produced through five broadcast locations, including Studio S1, the polling station in Minh Chau Commune, Ba Vi Commune in an ethnic minority area, Quang Minh Commune and Huong Son Commune in suburban Hanoi, along with connections to 122 communes and wards across the capital.
The special live broadcast will continuously connect with community reporter teams present in all 126 communes and wards throughout the city, delivering vivid and authentic images of the solemn yet joyful atmosphere as voters take part in the country's major civic event.

During the inspection, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Election Committee Phung Thi Hong Ha and the delegation directly observed a rehearsal of the special live broadcast titled "National day of democracy – The vote of trust and aspiration for development."
The rehearsal was conducted across five broadcast points including Studio S1, the polling station in Minh Chau Commune, Ba Vi Commune in an ethnic minority area, Quang Minh Commune and Huong Son Commune in suburban Hanoi, along with several other locations in communes and wards throughout the capital.
Speaking at the inspection, Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha praised the proactive and responsible efforts of the Hanoi Media Group's staff, reporters, editors, technicians and employees in carrying out election communication work as well as other political tasks assigned by the city.
Ha emphasized that elections are a particularly important political task that demonstrates the people's mastery of governance, therefore every stage must be carefully prepared in strict compliance with the law.
Information and communication work plays as a critical role, helping voters fully understand the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term while creating an enthusiastic and festive atmosphere among the capital's residents so that election day truly becomes a nationwide democratic celebration.
She also commended the dedication and strong sense of responsibility shown by reporters, editors and technical staff, particularly in preparing the special live television program scheduled for election day on March 15.
