On February 6, at Thong Nhat Park in Hai Ba Trung Ward, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade opened the "2026 Vietnamese Tet Space" program.
The event recreates the traditional Tet atmosphere of Hanoi and regions nationwide, combining commerce, culture, tourism and experiential activities. It meets year-end shopping needs while offering a community gathering space.
The event includes commercial product displays, OCOP promotion areas, handicraft and craft village exhibits, decorative Tet installations, photo zones and cultural performance stages.
Activities include banh chung (square sticky rice cake) wrapping, Tet feast presentations, five-fruit displays, calligraphy writing, traditional crafts and folk games.
More than 60 businesses and cooperatives from Hanoi and provinces such as Hung Yen, Haiphong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Son La, Nghe An, Quang Nam and Khanh Hoa participated in the event.
Market management forces closely supervise product quality and require clear origins, transparent pricing and compliance with regulations to strengthen consumer trust.

Nguyen Anh Duong, Deputy Director of the department, said 2026 marks the first year of a new term and the city continues to prioritize domestic consumption as a key growth driver.
During Tet, Hanoi organizes 149 spring flower markets across 90 communes and wards and 28 trade promotion events in 26 localities.
In 2025, Hanoi maintained double-digit growth in total retail sales and consumer service revenue, reflecting stable purchasing power.
The program places products at the center, helping businesses connect directly with consumers, expand markets and promote Hanoi as a civilized and modern capital.
The event runs through February 13, 2026.
