Tree-Planting Festival Launched at Ha Dong Ward Police Headquarters
Attending the ceremony at the Ha Dong Ward Police headquarters were Phung Thi Hong Ha, deputy secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council; Nguyen Doan Toan, head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Commission for Communication and Mass Mobilization; Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, director of the Hanoi Department of Public Security; leaders of the People's Council and People's Committee of Hanoi; and nearly 300 delegates representing the capital's police force and residents.
At the ceremony, participants planted trees within the premises of the Ha Dong Ward Police headquarters.
Speaking at the event, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Trong, head of Ha Dong Ward Police, said the unit had drawn up a detailed plan to implement the Hanoi People’s Committee’s 2026 tree-planting campaign and directives from the city police, linking tree planting with site improvements and the development of a regular, elite and modern model ward police unit.

In addition to greening the headquarters compound, Ha Dong Ward Police have coordinated with local departments, mass organizations and residential groups to plant trees along major roads, civilized streets, urban areas and historical and cultural sites in the ward, contributing to improved urban landscapes.
In the festive atmosphere of the early days of the new year, participating directly in planting young trees has brought officers and soldiers of Ha Dong Ward Police a sense of pride and responsibility, reinforcing their commitment to building a safe, green, clean and beautiful locality and better serving the people.

Nguyen Tien Phuc, secretary of the Ha Dong Ward Youth Union, said that at the start of a new year, young people often take part in tree-planting activities to demonstrate their commitment to environmental protection and preserving the capital's greenery. For Ha Dong Ward, where urbanization is progressing rapidly, planting trees carries even greater practical significance.
On the same morning, the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Ha Dong Ward also launched the "Tet Tree-Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh" within the compound of the ward's administrative headquarters.
