A wood workshop in Chanh Thon Village of Phu Xuyen Commune.
According to the plan, on the evening of November 27, the Hanoi Agricultural Promotion Center (under the Department of Agriculture and Environment) and Phu Xuyen Commune will host the "Festival Honoring Craft Villages and the 2025 Cultural, Tourism and Trade Week" at Van Diem Stadium in Phu Xuyen Commune.
Pham Cong Than, Chairman of the Phu Xuyen Commune People's Committee, said the event aims to showcase typical and signature OCOP products from local craft villages, providing opportunities for promotion, branding and market expansion.
The program will strengthen supply-demand connections, promote craft-village products, attract investment and boost trade activities within and beyond the commune. It will support production, economic development and the annual celebration of traditional craft villages.
The festival honors the creativity and craftsmanship of Phu Xuyen's artisans, introduces outstanding handicraft products to domestic and international visitors and promotes the commune's cultural identity in Hanoi's tourism landscape.
The exhibition area will display craft-village specialties, helping visitors, partners and businesses connect, cooperate and explore markets for handicrafts, mechanics, textiles and other local products.
The event also supports craft-village tourism development linked to digital transformation and e-commerce, helping promote products on digital platforms and advancing efforts to build "One Village – One Display Space" models.
The festival will promote traditional crafts, expand markets and enhance branding for local products. It also strengthens awareness of sustainable production, eco-friendly consumption and the shared responsibility of businesses, communities and consumers.
Through the festival, Phu Xuyen hopes to promote local identity, expand consumption networks and develop craft-village tourism. The event will run from November 27 to November 30, 2025.
Phu Xuyen will organize supporting activities, including local product displays, cultural performances and promotional programs. The Hanoi Agricultural Promotion Center will arrange 130 booths representing OCOP producers from Hanoi and other provinces.
The festival will showcase agricultural products, OCOP specialties, regional delicacies, traditional handicrafts, green products and local cuisine.
It will also display representative products from surrounding villages and from partner communes, with 30–40 booths expected. A cultural–craft village tourism tour will be held throughout the event.
The "Festival Honoring Craft Villages and the 2025 Cultural, Tourism and Trade Week" will open on the night of November 27 in Phu Xuyen Commune's stadium.
The festival will feature a combined craft-village and spiritual-tourism tour starting from Van Diem Stadium and visiting sites such as the Phu Dong Thien Vuong Temple, Tran Phu fishing-net village, Van Lang net-weaving village and local wood processing and crafting villages.
The opening ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. on November 27 at Van Diem Stadium. It will include cultural performances, the ceremony honoring craft ancestors (with a procession from six traditional craft villages), the ribbon-cutting event and an auction of signature products to support local welfare funds.
On November 28, the program will include exhibitions of OCOP and craft-village products from Phu Xuyen and neighboring communes. Competitions showcasing craftsmanship and creativity will take place along with cultural exchanges, music performances and livestreaming of craft products.
On November 29, activities will include games for children, folk games and dance competitions, along with additional craft-village and spiritual-tourism tours and a traditional áo dài fashion show.
On November 30, the exhibition will continue and awards will be presented to outstanding organizations and individuals. The festival will close that morning.
