According to the decision, bus fares in Hanoi for distances under 15 km will be VND8,000 per trip (US$0.33). For distances between 15 km and under 25 km, the fare is set at VND10,000 (around $0.41). Trips between 25 km and under 30 km will cost VND12,000 ($0.49), while distances from 30 km to under 40 km will have a fare of VND15,000 ($0.62). For distances over 40 km, the fare will be VND20,000 ($0.82).

Monthly bus passes for priority groups, such as students from universities, colleges, vocational schools, and workers in industrial zones, will cost VND70,000 ($2.87) for a single route pass, and VND140,000 ($5.74) for a multi-route pass.
For collective purchases (30 people or more), monthly single-route passes will be priced at VND 100,000 ($4.10) per person, while multi-route passes will cost VND200,000 ($8.20).
Other non-priority passengers will pay VND140,000 ($5.74) for a single-route pass and VND280,000 ($11.48) for a multi-route pass.
In addition, individuals such as war veterans, senior citizens, people with disabilities, children under six years old, and those from low-income households will continue to be exempt from bus fares.
The Hanoi People's Committee has tasked the Department of Transport, in coordination with the Department of Finance and the City Tax Department, to oversee the implementation of these fare changes, ensuring compliance with current government regulations on ticketing, receipts, and related financial management.
