According to the Hanoi City Labor Federation, Tet care activities this year have been rolled out widely, with a range of standout programs such as “Reunion Tet – Gratitude to the Party Spring,” the “Trade Union Tet Market,” and free bus services bringing workers in difficult circumstances back to their hometowns for the Lunar New Year.
An estimated 83,000 gift packages are set to be presented to union members, workers, officials, and employees facing hardship. The initiatives aim to provide timely encouragement and material support, helping workers celebrate Tet with peace of mind while strengthening their long-term attachment to enterprises.
Following the direction of the Hanoi City Labor Federation, grassroots trade unions have proactively coordinated with employers to organize many practical activities focusing on workers directly engaged in production.
Ahead of the 14th National Party Congress, on January 18, the Executive Committee of the Toyota Boshoku Hanoi Trade Union organized the "Reunion Tet – Gratitude to the Party Spring" program, attracting about 800 participants, including 600 union members and workers in particularly difficult circumstances.
At the event, each eligible worker received a cash allowance of VND1 million (US$39), a gift package worth VND300,000 (US$12) and a voucher worth VND500,000 (US$20) to shop at the "Trade Union Tet Market – Spring 2026."
A highlight of the program was a contest on displaying traditional Tet spaces, with the participation of 39 trade union groups. The displays vividly recreated the atmosphere of traditional Tet and contributed to preserving and spreading national cultural identity among workers.
In addition, the Me Linh Commune Trade Union, authorized by the Hanoi City Labor Federation, presented 201 support packages along with 32 train and bus tickets to union members and workers, helping them return home for Tet. Company leaders and grassroots trade unions also delivered many meaningful gifts to families of workers facing particularly difficult circumstances.
At Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd., Tet care for workers was also launched early and in a comprehensive manner. On this occasion, leaders of the Hanoi City Labor Federation visited and presented gifts to workers in difficult circumstances at the company.
According to leaders of the company's trade union, in the context of 2025, when both the enterprise and workers were heavily affected by natural disasters and floods in the Soc Son area, the union supported more than 800 affected members, with assistance ranging from VND500,000 (US$20) to VND2 million (US$78) per person, helping workers stabilize their lives.

In preparation for the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the company's trade union coordinated with the enterprise to organize many activities to care for workers' material and non-material life. These included year-end parties, cultural and sports activities celebrating the Party and Spring, and Tet gifts for 100 percent of workers.
The union also visited and supported workers in difficult circumstances, those suffering from work accidents and serious illnesses, ensuring that all workers could enjoy Tet and that no one would be left behind. In particular, the company organized around 50 shuttle trips to take nearly 1,500 workers and their families back to their hometowns for Tet and provided transport tickets for workers at branches nationwide, ensuring safe and full journeys home.
At the same time, the company asked trade union groups to monitor the number of workers returning to work after Tet to ensure that production activities resume normally.
Hanoi City Labor Federation Chairman Nguyen Van Thang said that, alongside Tet care activities, the city has required trade unions at all levels to strengthen supervision over the implementation of laws on wages and bonuses, especially Government Decree No. 293/2025/ND-CP on the minimum wage. Trade unions are also asked to proactively monitor labor relations and promptly coordinate to resolve emerging disputes, preventing any hot spots during the Tet period.
With a proactive and responsible spirit and a strong focus on the grassroots level, Tet care activities for workers at enterprises across the capital are helping spread the spirit of sharing and solidarity. These efforts contribute to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations so that the new Spring truly becomes a season of joy, peace of mind and a favorable start for both workers and enterprises.
