Many art shows will take place from April 27 to May 7 to celebrate major national events.
The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will organize a series of art performances from April 27 to May 7 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 2025), the 139th International Workers' Day (May 1, 2025), and the 71st anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 2025).
The performances will feature songs and artistic works that honor the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, and the love for the country and Vietnamese people.
In particular, many works will highlight the revolutionary traditions of the Vietnamese people and the great historical value and significance of the National Reunification on April 30, 1975, and the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7, 1954.
The programs will also include performances that reflect the country's achievements, especially those of Ho Chi Minh City, in 50 years since the reunification, particularly in the context of renovation and international integration.
The shows will tell the proud history of the Vietnamese working class and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour through various stages of national liberation, reunification, and the building and protection of the socialist Vietnamese homeland. They will also express the nation's desire to rise for a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
Specifically, in Hoan Kiem District, the Thang Long Music and Dance Theater will hold a large-scale performance on the evening of April 29 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, and another on May 4 at Ba Kieu Temple.
On April 30, the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater will perform a large-scale art program at Ba Kieu Temple to commemorate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification. To celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the theater will perform on May 7 in Cau Giay District.
The Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theater will perform in Ung Hoa District on April 27 and in Dong Anh District on April 30. The Hanoi Cai Luong Theater will hold shows in Me Linh District on April 27 and in Thanh Oai District on May 4.
The Hanoi Cheo Theater will present programs in Phu Xuyen District on April 27 and in Nam Tu Liem District on April 30. The Hanoi Drama Theater will perform in Thach That District on April 27 and in Chuong My District on April 30.
The Hanoi Cultural Center will organize two performances, one in Ha Dong District on April 27 and another in Hoai Duc District on April 29.
