On December 30, Duc Giang General Hospital hosted the closing ceremony of the 31st Young Healthcare Professionals Creative Techniques Contest for the Hanoi area.
Duong Duc Tuan, Standing Committee member of the Hanoi Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee and Head of the contest's steering committee, attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Tuan praised the significance and quality of the 31st contest, emphasizing that science, technology, innovation and digital transformation now serve as key drivers of development.
He said young healthcare professionals who actively study, research, master and apply new techniques play a vital role in improving service quality and better meeting public healthcare needs.

With a history spanning 50 years and 30 editions, the contest has become a traditional scientific activity with wide influence.
Many innovations introduced through past contests have entered practical use, shortening treatment time, reducing costs, improving patient care and contributing to the development of Hanoi's healthcare sector.
The 31st contest attracted participation from 32 hospitals and medical facilities, featuring 133 projects and techniques and nearly 400 young doctors, pharmacists, nurses and technicians.
Projects covered a wide range of fields, including clinical and paraclinical medicine, surgery, emergency and intensive care, hospital management, information technology and artificial intelligence.
The organizing committee awarded 19 first prizes, 19 second prizes, 21 third prizes and 17 consolation prizes. It also recognized overall team achievements.
Duc Giang General Hospital won the overall first prize, followed by Bach Mai Hospital in second place and Thanh Nhan Hospital in third place.
