Overview of the meeting between the Hanoi administration and the delegation of the China Pacific Construction Group.
On January 14, Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, received Yan Jiehe, founder and chairman of Pacific Construction Group of China.
At the meeting, Chairman Thang said that accelerating infrastructure development, completing the urban railway system and improving the city's landscape remain long-term priorities under Hanoi's master plan.
He stressed that railway infrastructure plays a crucial role in addressing urban challenges and meeting residents' needs for mobility, connectivity and daily activities.
The city chairman noted that Hanoi is drafting a set of standard criteria for urban railways to identify efficient and cost-effective solutions for maintenance, servicing and operations.
Against this backdrop, Thang expects Pacific Construction Group to engage in discussions and contribute expertise to this process.
Referring to exchanges between Hanoi and Beijing on tackling air pollution, Chairman Thang called on Pacific Construction Group, given its capacity and role, to help deepen effective cooperation between the two capitals in this field.

Agreeing with Hanoi's leadership, Yan Jiehe expressed his desire for the group to continue participating and expanding its operations through infrastructure development projects in the city, while ensuring quality, meeting deadlines and complying with the law.
Affirming the importance of infrastructure projects to urban development, the group's leadership pledged to make every effort to implement projects in Hanoi effectively and on schedule, including Metro Line No. 5, Ngoc Hoi Bridge and Tu Lien Bridge.
On this occasion, Yan Jiehe requested support from the city authorities for cooperative projects and reaffirmed the group's readiness to engage more actively with municipal agencies to ensure effective implementation in line with the law and Hanoi's development orientation.
The representative of Pacific Construction Group also shared experience and proposed several initiatives for sustainable and smart urban development.
Commending the implementation of the projects and the group's initiatives, Chairman Thang expressed confidence that, with advanced technology and experience, the group will make positive contributions to Hanoi's development in the coming period.
He assigned the Hanoi Department of Construction, based on Hanoi's planning and orientations, to coordinate discussions with Pacific Construction Group toward signing a memorandum of understanding on future infrastructure cooperation.
