On January 17, Hoang Mai Ward held a ceremony to install a recognition plaque for the city-level project of Hoang Mai Secondary School, marking the celebration of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Attending the ceremony were Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha and Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Truong Viet Dung.
Speaking at the event, Vice Party Secretary and Chairman of the Hoang Mai Ward People's Committee Nguyen Le Hien said the education project plays an important role in completing social infrastructure and improving teaching and learning quality in the area.
Hoang Mai Secondary School is built to accommodate 45 classes and aims to meet national standards.
The project includes a full range of facilities such as classroom blocks, administrative offices, learning support areas, a basement, playgrounds and sports areas, a swimming pool, a multipurpose hall, fire prevention and fighting systems, a transformer station, school equipment and other auxiliary facilities.

The total investment for the project was nearly VND249 billion (US$9.5 million). Implementation followed all required procedures, from design appraisal and contractor selection to construction.
The project passed acceptance inspections, including fire safety certification and was completed, handed over and put into use in January 2026. Notably, the project finished about one year ahead of schedule and saved approximately 3% of the approved investment budget.
From the milestone of plaque installation, Hien affirmed that the ward will continue to prioritize resources for education and training. He requested management and operating units to use the school's facilities efficiently and sustainably.

Hien also called for closer coordination among the school, families and local authorities to build a safe, disciplined and friendly learning environment and fully realize the project's value as a foundation for improving education quality and meeting the capital's sustainable development requirements in the new period.

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Truong Viet Dung presented certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee to one collective and two individuals for their contributions to the project's implementation.
