The Hanoi Red Cross delivers Tet gifts to local families in Phu Thuong Ward.
On January 23, in Phu Thuong Ward, the Hanoi Red Cross Society coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Thuong Ward to launch the Tet Nhan Ai (Humanitarian Tet) movement for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 and present Tet gifts to disadvantaged groups in the area.
The Tet Nhan Ai movement for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 has been implemented in a coordinated manner by the Hanoi Red Cross Society from the city level to the grassroots level.
The program aims to deliver more than 50,000 Tet gift packages, each worth at least VND500,000 (US$19) in cash and goods, to disadvantaged people, orphans, elderly people without family support, and residents affected by natural disasters and storms.
Key activities of the program include visits and gift distribution, organizing Tet Nhan Ai Markets, Zero-dong Tet Markets, and Tet Nhan Ai Weeks in wards and communes, ensuring support reaches the right beneficiaries and avoids overlap.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Dinh Thi Phuc, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi Red Cross Society, emphasized that the Tet Nhan Ai movement takes place at a time when the entire Party and people are emulating efforts to welcome the 14th National Party Congress.
The program continues to promote the nation's tradition of solidarity and compassion, mobilizing participation from authorities at all levels, sectors, the business community, and residents in social welfare activities, helping ensure that every family can celebrate a joyful and warm Tet holiday.
Underprevileged children in Phu Thuong Ward receives gifts from the Hanoi Red Cross.
At the event, the Hanoi Red Cross Society presented 115 Tet gift packages, each worth VND600,000 ($23) in cash and goods, to disadvantaged households, students in difficult circumstances in Phu Thuong Ward, and teachers and staff of the Hanoi School for Deaf Children.
On this occasion, the Hanoi Red Cross Society also received support and commitments from several units and businesses participating in the implementation of the Tet Nhan Ai movement for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
