On behalf of the leadership of the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Thanh presented flowers and extended congratulations to Nhan Dan Newspaper. He also expressed his impression with the activities held by the Vietnam Journalists Association during the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh respectfully acknowledged and highly appreciated the significant contributions of Nhan Dan Newspaper to the development of the capital city over the years. He noted that many articles and special features published by the newspaper have vividly reflected the process of building a clean and strong Party organization in the capital, as well as the fight against corruption, wastefulness, and negativity.
Chairman Tran Sy Thanh added that the newspaper has encouraged patriotic emulation movements, accompanied the capital in fulfilling its socio-economic development tasks, contributed to the building of a civilized and modern city, promoted culture, and preserved and spread the image of elegant and cultured Hanoians. The heartfelt and insightful articles, imbued with a strong sense of responsibility by the reporters and editors of Nhan Dan Newspaper, have helped build public consensus and trust in the city's development.
Sharing about Hanoi's upcoming activities, Thanh expressed his hope for continued close cooperation and effective coordination from Nhan Dan Newspaper in providing information and communicating policies, particularly in streamlining the administrative apparatus and guiding public opinion.
These efforts would help reinforce the great national unity bloc and create momentum to accelerate sustainable development in the capital, worthy of the trust and expectations of the Party, the State, and the people across the country.

"I firmly believe that with its glorious tradition, strong political will, and a team of intelligent, experienced, and responsible journalists and editors, Nhan Dan Newspaper will continue to thrive, remain a leading and exemplary press agency, and excellently fulfill its mission of information and communication in this new stage of national development," said Thanh.
Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh expressed his sincere appreciation for the attention and support of the Hanoi city leadership toward the reporters, editors, and staff of Nhan Dan Newspaper over time. He shared key activities of the Vietnam Journalists' Association on this momentous occasion marking the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
Among the highlights was a working delegation of 100 journalists from the Vietnam Journalists' Association visiting the military and civilians on Truong Sa island district. Another major event was the 2025 National Press Festival, taking place from June 19 to June 21, with the theme "Vietnamese Press – Loyal, Creative, Courageous, and Innovative for the Cause of National Construction and Defense."
A particularly notable event is the Closing and Awards Ceremony of the 19th National Press Awards 2024, which will be held on the exact date of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, June 21, at the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Stadium in Hanoi.
Le Quoc Minh stated that press agencies are now focusing their efforts on commemorative activities, especially amid the national movement to streamline the administrative system. As part of this effort, many press agencies are undergoing consolidation, and some journalists will inevitably have to switch to different roles.
"In this context, every journalist must continuously strive to improve their professional skills and ethics, especially by embracing digital transformation in journalism to meet practical demands," said Minh.
On this occasion, Minh also sincerely thanked all levels of the Hanoi government for their support and favorable conditions that have enabled Nhan Dan Newspaper to fulfill its mission and responsibilities as a press agency of the Party and the State. At the same time, he expressed his hope that the authorities of the capital city would continue to support the newspaper in promptly conveying information about Hanoi's activities to readers.
