The event, organized by the Hanoi Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, was staged magnificently with vibrant performances and deep emotions, blending with the nationwide joy of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

Overview of the program.
The program was a cultural and artistic highlight within the framework of the National Achievement Exhibition themed "80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness." It formed part of the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of National Day and honored the outstanding achievements of the nation and the capital city over the past 80 years of development.
Attending the program were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the National Achievement Exhibition Vu Thu Ha; Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Pham Qui Tien; and Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council and Deputy Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation Pham Thi Thanh Mai.
The event also welcomed representatives from provinces and cities, leaders of ministries and central agencies, and leaders of Hanoi's departments, organizations, and localities, along with a large audience and many visitors.
The program paid profound tribute to earlier generations who sacrificed their youth and lives for national independence and freedom. At the same time, it celebrated the comprehensive and sustainable achievements of the country and Hanoi, especially after nearly 40 years of renewal.
In her opening speech, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha emphasized that as part of the National Achievement Exhibition "80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness," Hanoi introduced two special spaces.
The first was the exhibition space "Hanoi's Socioeconomic Achievements" with the theme "Hanoi – A City of Heritage and Heroism, 80 Years Walking with the Nation."
The second was "Hanoi Tradition and Creativity 2025," which showcased cultural, tourism, and creative industry achievements.
These spaces displayed handicrafts, advanced technology, high-tech industry, ornamental plants, craft demonstrations, cuisine, and traditional cultural experiences.

According to Ha, together with these exhibition spaces, the art program "Hanoi – Forever Bright with Vietnam's Aspirations" offered the public and visitors an opportunity to relive the historic moments of the August Revolution and National Day.
The program conveyed a vivid image of Hanoi as both resilient and elegant, standing with the nation to realize the aspiration of building a prosperous, strong, and happy Vietnam.
With the overarching theme "Aspiration for Development toward a Prosperous and Happy Vietnam," the program took the audience back to the heroic days of the August Revolution and September 2, 1945. It also portrayed a dynamic, modern, and open Hanoi – a thousand-year-old capital, a City for Peace, and a Creative City.
The program began with a solemn flag-raising and national anthem ceremony. The performance involved singers, more than 2,000 artists and actors, and the voices of the audience, creating a sacred atmosphere that evoked the spirit of independence and national unity.
The performance was divided into three chapters combining music, dance, theatrical reenactments, historical documentary footage, and modern technology such as 3D mapping, multi-layer stages, and laser effects.
Chapter I, "Day, Month, Year…" recalled unforgettable times in Hanoi's history, depicting a city that remained steadfast during war, resilient amid hardships, and always rich in humanity. Despite immense sacrifice, the hearts and souls of Hanoians remained full of love for their homeland, faith in the future, and the romantic elegance of a thousand-year-old city.
Chapter II, "Hanoi in Someone's Eyes," portrayed Hanoi as a graceful and cultured city with refined people. The narrative unfolded through the perspective of a symbolic old bang tree on a street corner, which had witnessed generations of change and served as a storyteller of Hanoi's love and resilience.
Chapter III, "Hanoi – The Heart of Vietnam Rising," painted a picture of a city full of new vitality. Hanoi, as the political, economic, and cultural center of the nation, not only achieved rapid growth but also demonstrated strength in global integration.
Alongside 33 other provinces and cities, Hanoi contributed to building a strong and prosperous Vietnam, firm in political standing, and committed to peace and shared prosperity for humanity.
The program featured numerous revolutionary and patriotic songs praising Hanoi and the country, performed by well-known artists such as People's Artist Thu Huyen, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, and singers Dong Hung, Anh Tu, Lam Bao Ngoc, Ngoc Anh, Do To Hoa, the Oplus group, Ram C, An Thu An, Ha Trang, Huyen Trang, Hau Tran, and Thanh Tung. The performances were supported by saxophonist Hoang Tung, violinist Huyen Anh, pianist Trung Duc, and a choir of nearly 2,000 people.
A special highlight was the artistic paragliding performance carrying the national flag across Hanoi's sky, symbolizing the aspiration for independence, freedom and peace. The program concluded with a dazzling fireworks display synchronized with music, leaving a lasting and emotional impression on the audience.
