On September 5, in the festive spirit of the nationwide back-to-school day, Nguyen Lan Huong, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, visited Vo Thi Sau Primary School in Vinh Tuy Ward to congratulate teachers and students.
The opening ceremony began with Vice Principal Nguyen Thi Lan Phuong reading the full letter from State President Luong Cuong to the education sector on the occasion of the 2025–2026 school year.
Principal Le Thu Hang delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the school's staff and students, sending warm greetings to city leaders and guests.
She welcomed 29 new teachers and staff who had joined the school community, praising their dedication and care for pupils.
For the new school year, Vo Thi Sau Primary School welcomes 658 pupils, including 299 first graders starting their first year of primary school.
Principal Hang expressed pride in the students for joining a school named after the young heroine Vo Thi Sau.
She encouraged them to study hard, grow with confidence, and carry forward the school's proud tradition.
Recalling President Ho Chi Minh's words at the first national school opening ceremony on September 5, 1945, which reminds the children that the nation's future depends on their learning, Principal Hang urged pupils to embrace their studies with passion and discipline.
Acknowledging challenges ahead, she believed that with solidarity, creativity, and dedication from teachers, strong support from parents, and close guidance from city authorities, the school would achieve outstanding results and continue to build a proud legacy.
She wished teachers to keep their passion for teaching, students to be diligent and successful, and the school to remain a shining example of Hanoi's education sector.
At the ceremony, Chairwoman Nguyen Lan Huong presented flowers on behalf of city leaders and offered gifts to outstanding students who have overcome hardships.

Tay Son Primary School is a nationally recognized institution known for its strong teaching and learning achievements.
It has been honored by the Ministry of Education and Training and has for many years been named an excellent labor collective by the city. Its students have won nearly 600 prizes in national, international, and district-level competitions in academics and sports.
