On January 28, the Dan Phuong Commune Party Committee held a ceremony marking the 96th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 2026) and awarding Party badges to local members.
Phung Thi Hong Ha, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council, attended the ceremony.
Participants reviewed the Party's 96-year history of development and growth.
Dan Phuong Commune saw early revolutionary movements, beginning in 1943 with the establishment of the first Viet Minh organization in Thu Que Hamlet under Party leadership. By mid-1945, revolutionary activities spread widely and contributed to the success of the August Revolution.
Building on this tradition, the Dan Phuong Commune Party Committee has strengthened its organization and quality, now comprising 64 grassroots Party units with more than 2,600 members.

In 2025, the commune exceeded all 12 city-assigned targets, including seven surpassing plans. State budget revenue reached over VND11.6 billion (US$447,200), average income rose to VND90.3 million ($3,480 million) per person and residents' living standards improved.
On the occasion, the commune awarded Party badges to 52 members in recognition of 80, 65, 60, 55, 50, 45, 40, and 30 years of Party membership. The committee presented an early 80-year Party badge to Nguyen Thi Hoan, born March 13, 1926, who joined the Party in 1947.
Hoan is a prominent women's cadre who held various posts and received many state honors, including the Third-Class Resistance Order. She currently belongs to the Phung Hung Street Party Cell.
Representing the recipients, Nguyen Van Chi, a 40-year Party member from Bai Thap Hamlet, expressed pride and pledged to uphold political integrity and serve as a role model for younger generations.
Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha expressed deep gratitude for veteran members' enduring contributions to the Party, the nation, Hanoi and Dan Phuong.
Veteran Party members honored for 55 years of service.
She said the Hanoi Party Standing Committee decided to award Party badges to 8,113 members citywide, including 113 members receiving badges of 70 years or more.
Ha emphasized that Party badges honor not only individuals and families but also Party cells and the entire Dan Phuong Party Committee.
She urged veteran members to stay healthy, lead by example, participate actively in the Party and government building and inspire younger generations.
Ha also urged local Party committees to pay greater attention to Party members’ wellbeing, strengthen unity, and effectively implement resolutions for the 2025–2030 term, thereby contributing to a strong political system and the capital’s sustainable development.
