Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission Tran Dinh Canh checks on Phu Thuong Ward's preparations for the national election.
On March 11, member of the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee and Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission Tran Dinh Canh inspected preparations for the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term in Thuong Phuc Commune.
Reporting to the delegation on the implementation of election preparations, leaders of Thuong Phuc Commune said the commune had issued detailed plans, clearly assigned responsibilities to each unit and carried out the required steps in accordance with regulations.
Communication about the election has been conducted through multiple channels such as local loudspeaker systems, banners, posters and community meetings in villages and residential clusters to help voters clearly understand their rights and responsibilities.
The commune has also reviewed, compiled and posted voter lists at 34 polling stations within the legally prescribed timeline so residents can monitor, verify and request adjustments when necessary.
Facilities serving the election, including ballot boxes, official seals, documents and forms, have been fully prepared. So far, decoration and visual communication at polling stations have been completed.
Plans to ensure security, fire prevention and control and traffic safety have been prepared in detail, along with contingency scenarios for handling possible incidents to ensure the election proceeds smoothly under all circumstances.
After conducting on-site inspections at several polling stations, Canh acknowledged and praised the proactive efforts of local Party committees and authorities in carrying out preparation steps according to regulations and the planned schedule.
He emphasized that elections represent a major political event, requiring local authorities to continue strictly following regulations and ensuring thorough preparation in accordance with established procedures.
Canh urged Thuong Phuc Commune to continue carefully reviewing voter lists, strengthen communication efforts so residents clearly understand the election's significance and actively participate, ensure adequate facilities and equipment at polling stations and closely monitor local conditions to promptly handle emerging situations.
These measures will help guarantee that the election is conducted democratically, in accordance with the law, safely and successfully.
With proactive preparations and a strong sense of responsibility from local authorities, Canh expressed confidence that the election in Thuong Phuc Commune will be conducted democratically, lawfully, safely and truly become a civic celebration for residents.
