This site served as the Ministry of National Defense's live connection point to the main ceremony at the Vietnam Communist Party Museum.
Attending the ceremony at Regiment 692 in Doai Phuong Commune was Nguyen Trong Nghia, a Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army.
Also present was Nguyen Truong Thang, a member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission and Deputy Minister of National Defense, along with representatives from the General Staff, the General Department of Politics, the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services, General Department II, the General Department of Defense Industry and other Ministry of National Defense agencies.

Regiment 692 connection point: More than 1,700 trees planted
City representatives included Nguyen Van Phong, deputy secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Dao Van Nhan, member of the Party Committee Standing Board and Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command; Tran Dinh Canh, head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission and leaders of city departments and agencies.

Under Plan No. 380/KH-UBND dated December 29, 2025 issued by the Hanoi People's Committee on organizing the 2026 Tree Planting Festival, the city aims to plant more than 400,000 trees this year, including around 200,000 shade and timber trees and 200,000 fruit trees. To date, localities, departments and mass organizations have registered to plant 432,430 trees of various types.

At the Regiment 692 site, leaders of the Ministry of National Defense and Hanoi, representatives from the Hanoi Capital Command, Regiment 692, local militia, youth members and students from Doai Phuong Commune and Tung Thien Ward planted 1,576 xoan dao trees and 200 fruit trees, bringing the total to more than 1,700 newly planted trees.
Nguyen Manh Phuong, deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, said that as of 5:00 p.m. on February 21, communes, wards, departments and organizations across the city had reported plans to plant 11,237 trees during the launch ceremony on the sixth day of the first lunar month. Most are shade and landscape trees aimed at improving the city's ecological environment.
