Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, a member of the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee and Director of the Hanoi Police Department, joined residents in the celebration and delivered remarks at the program.

The event was also attended by representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, including Tran Duc Hai who is a member of the municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Huong Son Commune, leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Huong Son Commune, along with representatives of local organizations and residents of Yen Vy Village.
At the gathering, Village Head Dao Van Hung reported that Yen Vy has a long history and sits at the center of the Huong Pagoda special national relic site. The village has 1,647 households with 5,550 residents whose living standards continue to improve.
Local security and social order remain stable, supported by effective self-governance models in family clans and neighborhood groups. The rural landscape is becoming cleaner and more orderly.
In 2025, average income reached VND85 million (US$3,400) per person per year. The village has no poor households and only five near-poor households, while 1,567 households earned the title of "Cultural Family".
Residents also contributed to building a Great Solidarity House for a disadvantaged family.
In 2026, Yen Vy aims to raise average income to VND93 million ($3,720) per person per year and have at least 97 percent of households recognized as "Cultural Family", while maintaining its status as a "Cultural Village".

Speaking at the celebration, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung praised the unity and dedication of the Party Committee, local authorities and residents of Huong Son Commune in advancing socio economic development, promoting cultural values and safeguarding public security.
He encouraged residents to continue trusting the leadership of the Party and to effectively carry out Resolution 43 of the central government on strengthening great national solidarity and Resolution 26 of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on improving the quality of the Great National Solidarity Day.
He also asked local Party committees to support the Fatherland Front in its work, continue advancing the movement "All People Unite to Build New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Communities", and strengthen the peak month for the poor.
He urged the community to mobilize resources for near-poor and disadvantaged households, protect the environment, uphold civilized practices in weddings, funerals and festivals, follow public and family etiquette rules and preserve the cultural values of Thang Long and Hanoi.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung commended the achievements of Yen Vy residents and expressed hope that the village will continue developing outstanding community models, families and individuals in the coming year.
On this occasion, he presented flowers and gifts from the city to the Yen Vy residential community and awarded ten gift sets to exemplary households in the village. Leaders of Huong Son Commune also presented gifts to policy beneficiary families and households facing difficulties in the area.
