In 2025, Thanh Tri District will send 180 young men to serve in the People's Army and the People's Public Security Forces, achieving 100% of the assigned target. Among them, 116 young men voluntarily applied for enlistment and participated in a training course on Party awareness, while two outstanding recruits were honored to be admitted to the Party before enlistment. Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of Thanh Tri District People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Phong, who is also Chairman of the District Military Service Council, stated that in recent times, the district's Party organizations, authorities, and people have upheld the tradition of solidarity, carrying out regular and extraordinary tasks comprehensively and effectively. In 2024, the district met or exceeded all 19 socioeconomic development targets and all 18 Party-building targets.

With all 15 communes recognized as model new-style rural areas, Thanh Tri has become the first district in the city to be certified by the Prime Minister as meeting the standards for advanced new-style rural development. To date, the district has met 33 out of 34 criteria under the plan for upgrading to urban district status. At the same time, national defense and military affairs have been strengthened, while political security, public order, and social safety remain stable. The recruitment and selection of citizens for military service this year have been conducted transparently, fairly, and in accordance with regulations.
