Welcoming the university's interest in cooperation, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Truong Viet Dung said there remains substantial room for collaboration between Hanoi and Arizona State University.
Providing an overview of the capital's development strategy, he noted that Hanoi is working toward becoming a green, smart, and globally connected city. To achieve this goal, the city is focusing on building a new growth model driven by knowledge, science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, research and development, and a highly skilled workforce.

Against this backdrop, Hanoi welcomes universities, businesses, and international corporations seeking opportunities to invest, cooperate, and expand their activities in the city.
Based on the strengths and needs of both parties, Vice Chairman Truong Viet Dung proposed that Hanoi and Arizona State University move toward signing cooperation agreements in high-quality workforce development, scientific research, innovation, and the establishment of R&D centers.
He noted that the upcoming Hanoi Investment Promotion Conference 2026 will provide an important platform for deeper engagement, with numerous memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and investment approval decisions expected to be awarded to domestic and international partners.
