The gala took place in celebration of major national holidays: the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945–August 19, 2025), National Day (September 2, 1945–September 2, 2025), the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, and the 21st anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004–October 13, 2025).

Overview of the event.
Thang Long – Hanoi, a city with a thousand years of civilization, is not only a cradle of cultural and historical heritage but also a place that nurtures the entrepreneurial spirit and creativity of many generations of business leaders. Today's entrepreneurs are the successors who continue that legacy, building new values that meet the demands of integration and economic–social development in the new era.
Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the Hanoi Business Association and the Vietnam Association for Consumer Goods Development (VACOD), said the event was an opportunity to connect, strengthen solidarity and promote the growth of Hanoi's business community.
He noted that the business community is encouraged by the issuance of four key resolutions by the Politburo on science and technology breakthroughs, innovation and digital transformation, international integration in the new context, reform of law-making and enforcement, and private-sector development.
These policies have had a direct and positive impact on the business environment, creating stronger legal and institutional frameworks and enhancing state support for enterprises, especially private ones, in areas such as technology, innovation, digitalization, and access to land, finance, and other national resources.
Since the adoption of these resolutions, HBA has promptly organized weekly "Entrepreneur Breakfast" meetings every Saturday, hosting seminars and discussions to disseminate the new policies to its members. The association has also invited experts from central agencies to explain the laws, help remove policy bottlenecks, and guide enterprises in applying the new resolutions effectively.
To foster international integration, HBA has expanded bilateral and multilateral cooperation with many countries, including the Russian Federation.
With remarkable achievements over the past year, many enterprises and entrepreneurs received Certificates of Merit from the Hanoi People's Committee and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) for their excellence in business performance and social contributions.
HBA has actively fulfilled its coordinating role in emulation and commendation, supporting members to achieve outstanding results and inspiring a strong culture of productivity, innovation, and social responsibility. This has helped promote a vibrant and socially engaged business community in the capital.
On behalf of the city, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council Pham Qui Tien praised the accomplishments of the business sector, recognizing entrepreneurs as pioneers in innovation and growth, contributing to Hanoi's position as a dynamic and globally connected economic hub.

The city has been actively implementing central and national policies to ease difficulties in production and trade, maintain macroeconomic stability, curb inflation, and ensure social welfare.
Vice Chairman Pham Qui Tien reaffirmed that Hanoi is accelerating the two-tier administrative model, pushing forward administrative reform and digital transformation to build an efficient digital government that best serves citizens and enterprises. In particular, under the Politburo's Resolution No. 68 on private-sector development, the city aims to achieve an economic growth rate of over 8 percent this year and double-digit growth in the years ahead.
