Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi presents financial support to the victims’ family.
At the visit, Chairwoman Nguyen Lan Huong presented financial assistance of VND25 million (US$949) from the city's Relief Fund to the victims' family VND5 million ($189) per deceased victim). She expressed deep sympathy for their loss and encouraged the family to stay strong and complete funeral arrangements for their loved ones.
Chairwoman Huong also asked local leaders of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam Ward to focus on overcoming the consequences of the fire and to continue providing active support to the affected family.

Earlier, a fire broke out at 5:36 a.m. at a residential house located at No. 9, Alley 12, Lane 17, Alley 180 Kim Hoa Street, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam Ward, on October 11. The house, a four-story building with an attic, covered about 25 square meters and was situated in a narrow alley approximately 300 meters from the main road.
According to initial reports from local residents, people at the scene raised the alarm and attempted to extinguish the fire using on-site equipment, but were unable to control the blaze. By 6:00 a.m., firefighters had managed to contain the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby houses.
The incident tragically claimed the lives of five family members, including one child.
