The funding comes from the Social Fund of the Hanoi Federation of Labor along with contributions from officials, civil servants, and staff of the federation.

Delegates at the event.
Earlier, in response to the appeal of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the federation launched a donation drive to support communities affected by natural disasters. At the event, all officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers contributed at least one day of salary to help people in the hardest hit areas.
According to Le Dinh Hung, Standing Vice President of the Hanoi Federation of Labor, storms and floods have caused devastating losses across provinces in the central region and the Central Highlands. Many localities are enduring heavy damage to both lives and property, which calls for unity across the country with timely support from all levels of the Capital's trade unions.
The federation instructed trade unions at all levels from communes and wards to those in industrial parks, high tech zones, and grassroots units to mobilize members and workers to take part in the effort.
The spirit of mutual support and the message "Hanoi for the nation, Hanoi with the nation" have been strongly upheld, spreading solidarity and community responsibility.
All donations are received, managed, and consolidated in an open, transparent, and timely manner in line with the guidance of the Hanoi chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Overview of the event.
All contributions will be transferred to the Relief Fund account of the Hanoi chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at Agribank's Hanoi Branch to provide emergency support so affected residents can overcome difficulties, restore production, and stabilize their lives.
The federation requested trade unions in communes and wards, industrial parks, high tech zones, corporations, and grassroots units to regularly update donation results and submit daily reports before 4 p.m. to the federation through the Trade Union Affairs Division for consolidation.
This effort to support communities in disaster hit areas reaffirms the important role of the Capital's trade unions within the political system as they remain not only a pillar for workers but also an active force in humanitarian and charitable activities.
