Over 7,000 people join Olympic Run Day

VGP – The Olympic Run Day for Public Health 2016 was launched on March 26 at Ly Thai To flower garden in Ha Noi.


The event was co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Ha Noi People’s Committee, and the Viet Nam Olympic Committee.

The event drew the participation of state officials, heads of ministries, branches and agencies, artists, students and 7,000 Hanoians.

It targeted to mark the Viet Nam Sports Day and the 70th anniversary of the day in which President Ho Chi Minh wrote an article calling for all people to exercise to stay healthy (March 27, 1946-March 27, 2016).

Right after the ceremony, the delegates and local residents ran around Hoan Kiem lake in an ebullient atmosphere.

Some 7 million Vietnamese people in 63 provinces and cities nationwide attended similar activities on the same day./.
