The event with the theme “The Quintessence of Ha Noi - Confluence and Shine” is organized by the Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Centre for Preservation and Development of Vietnamese Stage Arts on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the city's expansion of its administrative boundary.
Accordingly, more than 5,000 people are expected to join the street carnival in Ha Noi and will be parading around Hoan Kiem Lake, Ly Thai To Square, BaKieu Temple, Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, in front of Luc Thuy restaurant, Ba Trieu
- Hang Khay intersection, and Hang Bai - Trang Tien
intersection.
In particular, Hanoians will have a chance to enjoy the unique performances from the parade groups comprise of thousands of artisans, folk performing artists, elderly people and students of the city.
In addition, the Aodai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) performance is a perennial highlight of the event with new collections by popular designers of Ha Noi.
Last year, the first carnival from 86 international artists of Sun World Ba Na Hills arts troupe opened in Hanoi walking street from September 16 to 17. They presented an unprecedented, unique, street carnival in the pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake, in Ha Noi.
During the breaks, Ha Noi audiences were able to enjoy performances of fire dancing, jolting, juggling, and acrobatics. Children had a chance to meet the beautiful princesses and handsome princes like in the fairy tales.
