Themed “Enhancing Regional and Global Economic Links”, the event attracted more than 500 businesses across 21 provinces and cities and 23 countries and territories, such as Russia, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Japan, the U.S., Japan, Singapore, Cuba, Laos, Cambodia and Hong Kong.
The firms operate in diverse areas, including electronic mechanics, metals, renewable energy, agriculture, biological, pesticide, irrigation, pharmaceuticals, and health care.
The year 2017 marked upbeat growth in Viet Nam – Russia ties, with both sides agreeing to push the implementation of the Eurasian Economic Union – Vietnam free trade agreement and increase bilateral trade to US$ 20 billion by 2020.
Russia was an honorable guest at the Viet Nam Expo 2018, where Russian firms displayed their key and outstanding products such as mechanical manufacturing, automated equipment, industrial biotechnology, high technology electronics on an area of 520 sq.m. Russia's participation is expected to boost trade between the two countries.
